Kiwi artist Aldous Harding today announces her 'Train on the Island' New Zealand tour dates for November. Last month, Aldous announced her first headline shows since 2023, touring across the UK and Europe. Following this tour she will bring her live show to Aotearoa, celebrating her fifth studio album, Train On The Island out on 8th May 2026.

The Train on the Island Tour kicks off in Kirikiriroa Hamilton on Wednesday November 25 at the BNZ Theatre.

Tickets for Aldous Harding will be available to purchase by the General Public on Thursday May 7 at 11am.

In March this year, Aldous Harding shared a first taste of the new album in the form of the single ‘One Stop’. Premiered by Huw Stephens on his BBC 6Music radio show, ‘One Stop’ is accompanied by a Harding-fronted video directed by Michelle Henning.

In April, Aldous Harding followed up with a second release, 'Venus In The Zinnia' featuring H Hawkline, another track from the forthcoming album, Train on the Island.

The 10-track Train On The Island out on May 8, was co-produced by long-time collaborator John Parish (PJ Harvey, Dry Cleaning) at Rockfield Studios in Monmouth, Wales, where the pair recorded the New Zealander’s previous bodies of work, Party (2017), Designer (2019) and Warm Chris (2022). Joining Harding and Parish on Train On The Island were pedal steel player Joe Harvey-Whyte, harpist Mali Llywelyn, synth artist Thomas Poli, drummer Sebastian Rochford (Polar Bear) and Huw Evans (H. Hawkline) on bass, vocals, acoustic/electric guitar and organ.

Train On The Island will be available digitally and on CD, red vinyl gatefold, exclusive ‘Flying Nun Black’ vinyl gatefold, and exclusive ‘Holiday Records Copper’ vinyl gatefold [limited to 50 copies] — out on 8th May 2026 via Flying Nun Records. Pre-order / pre-save here
