Is public car parking available?
There is no dedicated public parking at BNZ Theatre. We recommend using nearby public car parks and on-street parking where available.
Hamilton CBD offers multiple parking buildings and street parking options within walking distance of the theatre. We encourage patrons to allow extra time, particularly on busy event nights. Check our "how to get here" information.
How do I book mobility parking?
Please contact us at info@bnztheatre.co.nz with your mobility permit number, vehicle registration, and a contact phone number, and our team will assist where possible.
Is BNZ Theatre close to public transport?
Yes, BNZ Theatre is centrally located and easily accessible via Hamilton’s public transport network. Bus routes servicing the CBD operate regularly, and the theatre is within walking distance of key city stops.
How do I book a ticket?
All ticketing is managed through Ticketmaster:

How do I collect my ticket?
On event days, the BNZ Theatre Box Office opens prior to doors opening. Tickets can also be collected from any Ticketmaster outlet, subject to their operating hours and event conditions.
What do I do if I need to purchase mobility seating?
Mobility seating can be booked online for most events. For additional support, please contact Ticketmaster’s mobility line: 09 970 9711.
I’ve injured myself and can no longer access my seats – what do I do?
Please contact Ticketmaster on 09 970 9711 to discuss relocating to more accessible seating, subject to availability.
What sound system do you use?
BNZ Theatre is a flexible, world-class performance venue. Production, staging, lighting, and sound systems are generally supplied by touring productions, meaning each event may use different technical setups to best suit the performance.
Where can I see door and show times?
Event timings are listed on the Ticketmaster event page and shared with ticketholders via pre-event email. All times are subject to change.
What time should I start queuing?
For most events, we do not encourage early queuing. Doors open in advance of the performance, with ample staff and security to ensure smooth entry.
For some seated theatre performances, late arrivals may be asked to wait for an appropriate break before being seated.
What food and beverage options are available?
A selection of hot food, snacks, and beverages is available for purchase at the theatre. Service is designed to be fast and high quality so you can spend less time queuing and more time enjoying the show.
Can I bring my own food and drinks?
No. Due to licensing requirements, only food and beverages purchased at BNZ Theatre may be consumed inside the venue. Free drinking water is available.
What is the alcohol policy?
Alcohol is available for purchase to patrons aged 18+ with valid ID (NZ Driver Licence, Passport, or Hospitality NZ 18+ Card).
Alcohol may not be brought into the venue. Intoxicated patrons may be refused entry or asked to leave.
Can I bring a camera?
Mobile phones and small personal cameras are generally permitted, subject to the artist’s conditions. Professional cameras, video equipment, detachable lenses, selfie sticks, and GoPros are not permitted.
Is there a cloakroom?
A cloakroom may be available for selected events, subject to capacity and a small fee.
Is BNZ Theatre indoors?
Yes, BNZ Theatre is a fully enclosed, indoor performance venue.
Can BNZ Theatre accommodate accessibility needs?
Yes. We offer accessible seating, lifts, toilets, and entry points. Please visit our Accessibility page or contact us for support.
Are EFTPOS facilities available?
Yes, BNZ Theatre is a cashless venue. EFTPOS and contactless payments are accepted.
Can children attend events unsupervised?
Children under 14 must be accompanied by a responsible adult (18+).
Is smoking or vaping permitted?
Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the theatre. Designated outdoor areas may be available.
Can I stand or dance at my seat?
We encourage you to enjoy the show, but aisles and walkways must remain clear. Standing on seats is not permitted.
